From downtown Vienna to the Hörsaalzentrum:
The Hörsaalzentrum can be reached easily by foot from downtown Vienna. From the main University building on Universitätsring 1, its a 10 minutes walk and it takes some 20 minutes to get to the Hörsaalzentrum from Stephansplatz.
From Vienna Main Station to the Hörsaalzentrum by public transport:
The Vienna Central Train Station is the most modern and important national and international transportation hub in Austria. All of Austrian Federal Railways’ (ÖBB) long-distance trains stop here and at the Wien-Meidling station a bit further south. Nearly every long-distance destination served by the ÖBB can be reached with a maximum of one change of trains. Railjets and Intercity Express (long-distance) trains coming from the west also go to the Central Train Station, meaning a change to one of the southern lines takes no time at all. State capitals Bregenz, Innsbruck, Salzburg, Klagenfurt, Linz and St. Pölten are connected directly to Vienna’s airport via the Main Station.
When arriving at Vienna Main Station, take the subway line U1 to the station "Schwedenplatz", from there the subway U4 for a 1 station ride to "Schottenring" and from there the subway line U2 for a 1 station ride to "Schottentor". From there, you can either walk to the Hörsaalzentrum or take the tramway 43 or 44 for 2 stations to "Lange Gasse" from where you can enter the compound of the University where the Hörsaalzentrum is located.
From Vienna International Airport to the Hörsaalzentrum by public transport:
With a journey time of only 16 minutes, the City Airport Train (CAT) is the fastest way to travel to the city center. The City Airport Train operates daily from 05.37 a.m. to 23.38 p.m., 365 days a year. The City Air Terminal is located at the railway station Wien Mitte/Landstrasse.
When arriving at Wien Mitte/Landstrasse, take the subway line U4 for a 2 station ride to the station "Schottenring" and from there the subway line U2 for a 1 station ride to "Schottentor".
